The project will initially ran until 31st March 2019 and will provide SMEs access to a raft of support including grant funding for innovation development, a programme of events tailored to relevant sector specific topics, and support and advice from highly skilled individuals within the life sciences, industry, NHS and the university community.

In Partnership with the East Midlands Academic Health Science Network, this project provided sector-specific support to Medical and Life Science businesses based in Lincolnshire & Rutland.
The LARIS project offered the following support to businesses:
- Innovation Grants: up to £5K covering up to 50% of the investment
- Specific Advice: signposting and guidance
- Free Events: exchange ideas and stimulate engagement between academia, clinicians and businesses
